Get your bathing suits dusted off, the new Hennessey aquatic center construction began this week. Carrothers Construction Company, based in Paola, Kansas, is in full digging mode laying out the pool and bath house areas. The aquatic center located on North Mitchell Rd., next to the splash pad, will include a 99 foot flume slide, 2 diving boards, a shaded mother’s area, and a bath house. The pool is scheduled to open May 2020
