Last night, August 13, the Hennessey town board of trustees voted to give the volunteer firefighters a raise. Firefighters were hired at $6.25 an hour, but will now receive $12.00.
If a Firefighter completes Firefighter One Certification they will receive $14.00 an hour and after 5 years of service and certification, will receive $15.00 an hour.
