ROLLOVER WRECK EAST OF HENNESSEY
A late model Toyota Tacoma pickup traveling east on Hwy 51, about 7pm this evening, went left of center and rolled several times. The pickup rested on the north side of the fence heading the other direction, 6.5 miles east of Hennessey. The unidentified male driver was out of the pickup and walking around when EMS arrived. Life EMS transported the driver to an Enid hospital. The wreck is currently under investigation by the OHP. We will update this post when more details become available.

MOSQUITOES BEWARE!
Hennessey residents are hoping for a bug free 4th of July for the festivities at Bullfoot Park and the fireworks at the football field.

Curtis Turner, Hennessey public works director, said “We will be spraying for mosquitoes, if it is not too windy in town, at the park and football practice field on Wednesday night.” With all the rain this year the mosquito population is at an all-time high in the Hennessey area.

Fun at BULLFOOT PARK starts at 10AM then FIREWORKS AT FOOTBALL FIELD at dark o’clock! PLEASE SHARE!
Horseshoe tournament after the cornhole at 10am. Frog jumping and turtle races 10:00 am. Water inflatables 12:00-4:00. Powder & String Club fishing derby 10:00-3:00 for ages 14 & under. $25 for largest catfish, largest other fish, smallest fish, and most number of fish. All of this at Bullfoot Park. Anyone wanting to have a booth is welcome. No parking at the park. Please park at Dollar Transportation south of the park and watch for signs as to where to enter.
Fireworks will be at football practice field at dark.
