The Hennessey Senior Citizen Center enjoyed good food and good music when the Flatlanders stopped by for an afternoon of picking and singing!
Randy Pearson of Waukomis gathered musicians from Sand Springs, Enid, Dover, Tuttle and Stillwater to come jam together. Hennesseyโs own Vernon Racer joined in, too!
After a delicious Oktoberfest lunch, everyone settled in for an hour and a half of country and gospel favorites, including songs by Tammy Wynette, George Jones and Hank Williams. โOn the Wings of a Dove,โ played on the fiddle, even had the crowd singing along.
The folks at the center are already looking forward to having the Flatlanders back and hope residents from the Hennessey Care Center can join them next time.
