Sunday afternoon, March 1, at approximately 12:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a pickup. The crash occurred in front of Taggart’s Garden Center at 8490 U.S. Highway 81.
The southbound lane of Highway 81 was closed, and traffic was detoured. Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane for about an hour while crews worked the scene.
According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the pickup was driven by Johnny Rains of Hennessey. Rains was transported to Integris Hospital in Enid with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the semi, Francisco Carranza of Enid, was not injured.
