Yeehaw! The world’s largest cowboy hat has finally donned a fresh new look, and it’s ready to shine bright in Hennessey! This gigantic 24 ft. by 32 ft. all-steel marvel, which tips the scales at a whopping 12,650 pounds, settled in on the north end of town back in February 2023. After standing tall and proud (though a tad weather-worn), our beloved Big Hat has received the stylish makeover it’s been waiting for!
Thanks to the Hennessey United Board, who officially adopted this spectacular piece of western flair, the hat has been treated to a well-deserved paint job. The duo, Ron and Ronnie Arter from Eagle Services, took on the fun job of sandblasting, priming, and painting this oversized piece of western wear.
The hat is now sporting a rootin’ tootin’ color scheme! The main part of the hat is dressed in a stunning “Bronze” for the hat itself, a rich light tan, paired with “Umber,” a light brown for the hat band
