Callie Sue (Matthews) Mullins Walker

DOVER

Callie Sue (Matthews) Mullins Walker was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on April 27, 1956 to William Abraham and Callie Ann (Nickell) Matthews and was reunited with them in Heaven on May 1, 2023. Sue was the second oldest of nine children and after the passing of both of their parents, Sue truly became the Matriarch of the Matthews family. She and her siblings attended schools in Enid and Hennessey before the family settled permanently in Dover, Oklahoma. Sue graduated from Dover High School in 1974. She married David Mullins in Kingfisher in 1975 and together they had three children: Kerry, Missy and David.

From a very young age, Sue was one of the hardest working and most creative women to ever grace this Earth. As a single mom after her divorce, Sue often worked two and three jobs at a time to provide for her children. Sue loved cooking and baking and was exceptionally talented at both. Her custom birthday cake, cupcake and wedding cake creations were known throughout the area, and she spent many years cooking in local cafes and at the Kingfisher Elks Lodge. Sue was an amazing businesswoman who handled the chaos of an office like an absolute champ. She worked at Dover Well Service for many years and was the Office Manager of Wellco Tank Trucks in Dover for well over two decades.  Sue was also an amazing seamstress and used her talents to create endless matching outfits for her young daughters and spent many years sewing for others as well.

Sue loved Jesus, her family, Leopard print, jewelry, spending time with her precious grandbabies Carson and Cara, chocolate, fishing, going way too fast on jet skis, going on Jamaican cruises, going on adventures with her best friend Patsy Amos (they called themselves Thelma and Louise), chocolate, joyriding in helicopters, being a secret Santa, OBSESSED with online Boutique Shopping, Snapchat streaks with Cara Grace, and did we mention chocolate?  Sue was a true light in our family. She was caring, loving, protective, stubborn and absolutely, unequivocally hilarious. She will be truly missed by all who loved her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Callie and Abe; nephew Joe Matthews, nieces Khillian Terry and Lori Matthews, her best friend Patsy Amos, best friend/cousin Della Jenkins and one angel grandbaby, August Noelle.

Sue is survived by daughter Kerry Kennedy of Dover, Oklahoma; daughter Melissa Mullins and fiancé Travis Curtis of Dover, Oklahoma; and son David, his wife Jessica and grandchildren Cara Grace and Carson Jacob Mullins, all of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Additionally, Sue is survived by her sisters Connie (Mark) Phelan and Karla Matthews and brothers Willie (Michelle) Matthews, Billy (Tammy) Matthews, Ricky (Tammy) Matthews, Rex (Deb) Matthews, Mike (Amanda) Matthews, and Randy Matthews and many, many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.  Sue is also survived by bonus daughters Stephanie (Scott) Ferrell and Nicole (Eric) Eaton and bonus grandchildren Sam, Zak, Keelen and Channing Eaton and Madison, Mia and Christian Ferrell.
