New Enid Firefighter

2017 Hennessey Grad, Jaylen Goff was sworn in as a new Enid Firefighter last week during a small ceremony at Fire Station One in Enid.  Fire Marshall Ken Helms said in a statement, “We think beginning a career as an Enid Firefighter is kind of a big deal!  In order to recognize this event, we held a brief ceremony to swear in our two newest members, Jaylen Goff and Blaine Bergdall.  Their families were on hand to pin their badges, and they received Certificates of Appointment to celebrate the occasion.  Welcome, Blaine & Jaylen, to the Enid Fire Department.”

Jaylen began his regular assignment to A-Shift on Friday, September 9th, after eight weeks of intensive in-house training.  Jaylen is excited to start his new career serving the community of Enid.

Jaylen started his firefighter career as a volunteer here in Hennessey.

He graduated from NOC with a Biological Science degree in May 2020 and earned his EMT license the same year.  His first full-time firefighter job started in January 2022 at the Vance Air Force Base Fire Department.

Jaylen is the son of Joanna and Jay Goff of Hennessey.
