About 14 Hennessey single seniors got together Tuesday morning to talk about creating a new club. This was the idea of Gay Means-Chambers, as a way to make a connection with others that have lost a spouse and are alone.
The group decided on the name “Golden Eagles” and discussed things they could do as a group such as trips to places like Branson, Eureka Springs or the Amtrak train to Fort Worth. Local activates discussed were walking at Bull Foot Park, the Eagle Event Center, or playing cards at the Hennessey Sr. Citizens Center.
The group decided to meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am, at the Family Café. Come earlier if you would like to eat breakfast. If you have any questions contact Gay Chambers at 405-521-7974
