HENNESSEY
The funeral for Edward Eugene Richards, 70 will be at 10:00 AM Thursday July 22, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Crescent officiated by Pastor Paul Montgomery. Burial will follow at Crescent Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
Edward was born at Crescent on October 27, 1950 to Bobby E. and Cleone Stevens Richards and died Wednesday July 14, 2021 at his home in Hennessey.
He graduated from Crescent High School and served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Richmond K. Turner. Edward was a member of First Baptist Church.
He retired from Radio Oklahoma after several years of broadcasting.
He was a talented musician and played many instruments. Edward was a contestant on Wheel of Fortune.
He is survived by Joe Crossfield and wife Kaci of Cashion; Kylea Hyle and husband Jared of Oilton, Becki Meuten and husband Tyler of Cashion; Kody Crossfield and wife Chelsea of Cashion, Brady Hyle and Peighton Hyle, Erin Crow and Aven Meuten; Kooper and Kinslee Crossfield; Bobby Richards of Enid, one sister Judy Adam and husband James of Colorado; nieces and nephews Belinda Brewster, Richard Adam and wife Ileen, Rhonda Feasel and husband Rich, Jason Adam and wife Tonya, and Jesse Adam and wife Jennifer.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Cleone Richards.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Hospice Circle of Love with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
