PIONEER TELEPHONE COOP PRESENTS CHECK TO METHODIST FOOD MINISTRY

Cindy Gore and Madison McCollum with Pioneer Telephone Coop presented a check for $550 to the food bank today, October 21, 2020. Pioneer Telephone, Cindy Gore said this is a great community service and they wanted to help any way possible. The money was given from Pioneer as well as Cimarron Electric, Farm Bureau (Jack Choate III) and other anonymous businesses. Jeannie Brown of the Hennessey First United Methodist Church, who has been running the food bank for 15 years was very appreciative of the donation and said it would help a lot in feeding local families.

The Good Samaritan Methodist Food bank helps about 45-50 families twice a month. They are open every 2nd and 4th Wednesday and are located across the street from the First United Methodist Church in Hennessey at 201 S Cherokee St. If you are in need of food assistance, please come by on one of the days it is open or call 405-853-2569.
