A Celebration of Life Service for Margie Lou Thompson, 79. will be Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Maple Grove Cemetary in Hennessey. We will be gathering to share some of your favorite memories, stories and to laugh to cry and remember a wonderful person how is greatly missed. Service and Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Margie was born at Loyal on December 25, 1940 to Orville “Son” and Marcella Garms Turner and died Monday August 24, 2020 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

Margie married Melvin E. Thompson in Hennessey on June 3, 1960. She was a member of Dover Christian Church, Hennessey Child Study Club, and the Hennessey Roundup Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Trena Gardner and husband Bobby of Dover, Traci Thompson of Edmond; five grandchildren Marcy Pribyl and husband Cris, Kaley Guerra, Lane Gardner, Mitchell Gardner and wife Staci, Kaden Guerra and girlfriend Kami Adams; seven great-grandchildren; one sister Vonda Vincent and husband James of Dover; two sisters-in-law Catherine Schwarz, Wanda Choate and husband Max, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mel.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
