Grass and trash on the streets has become a problem. Town ordinance # 7-1A-4 says, “DEPOSITING TRASH UPON STREETS OR SIDEWALKS: It is unlawful for any person to deposit, throw, or sweep into or upon the streets, alleys, parking or sidewalks of the town, paper, rubbish, grass, weeds, tree trimmings, dirt, trash, crates, boxes or other refuse of any kind. (1992 Code – 19-6” Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman said, “In some cases, our guys have had to go and sweep up the mess because there was so much of it.” Mayor Bert Gritz said, “Not only is trash and grass on the streets a mess it causes a lot of storm drainage problems”.
