HENNESSEY’S NEW TOWN CLERK

At last week’s Hennessey Board of Trustees meeting, Tiffany Tillman, Hennessey’s long time Town Clerk, submitted her resignation.  The board appointed Kati Walters as the new town clerk.  The town clerk’s job is to keep the journal of the proceedings of the board of trustees, keeps the book of ordinances, has custody of documents and records archives, and has custody of the town seal.  The job also includes to attest and affix the seal of the town documents and make daily deposits for the town among other duties.  Tiffany Tillman has been the Hennessey town clerk since 2006 and will keep her position as the town Administrator.  Tillman’s resignation letter stated that due to the added responsibilities given to her as the Town Administrator it was in the best interest for her, and the town, that she resigns as the Town Clerk.
