Funeral services for William “Bill” Hail, 77 of Hennessey, will be Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10:00 am at the First Christian Church, Hennessey, with Reverend Ish Engle officiating. Burial will follow in Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid. William was born on October 6, 1942 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma to JD and Bertha Boatman Hail and died on July 1, 2020 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Bill graduated from Varnum High School and attended Seminole Junior College. On January 30, 1962, Bill married Marilyn Lightfoot in Del City and they moved to California in 1963. He worked several jobs in California, and owned convenience stores in California and Las Vegas. They moved to Hennessey in 1998, where they had home rental properties. Bill was an avid hunter, golfer, fisherman, and enjoyed pitching horseshoes. He always had a huge garden. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wilma; brother, Wilburn; son, William Hail, Jr.; grandson, William Hail III. William is survived by his wife, Marilyn of the home; daughters, Rhonda Hail of Hennessey, Sherri and husband, Steve Lee of Enid; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren; brothers and their wives, Willis and Betty Hail, Willie and Wanda Hail, Willard and Caroline Hail; sister Wilberta McDuffie; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
